Blade Wynne was born in 1980, in Providence, Rhode Island. He received his BFA in painting from Pratt Institute in 2002 and his MFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design in 2008. His work has been exhibited widely in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago and has recently been included in exhibitions at Vox Populi of Philadelphia, The International Print Center of NY and The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.
His work has recently appeared in publications such as “Journal of the Print World” and “New American Paintings.” He is a recent recipient of the VMFA Visual Arts Fellowship, (Professional Award) as well as the Virginia Commission for the Arts Fellowship in Painting. He is Represented by Mayer Fine Art Gallery of Norfolk, VA and currently resides in Chesapeake, Va.
